GROUP CLASSES:

Spike" Miniature English Bulldog.
Puppy Kindergarten.
Puppy Kindergarten
At 8 weeks of age, your pup's brain is developed and ready to learn
the best time of her life for training. Positive, fun training methods are
especially important at this time. Harsh teaching methods used during
critical periods of development (3-16 weeks) can set the stage for
fearful or aggressive behaviors later in life. The gentleness of our
methods, plus lots of fun, minimizes the potential for later onset of
behavioral issues.
Puppy Kindergarten covers crate training, house breaking, nipping,
chewing, jumping up, and exercises to prevent resource guarding.
Basic obedience such as sit, down, come, and loose leash walking will
also be covered. Teaching appropriate social behavior with other dogs
will include plenty of time for the pups to play together in off-leash
sessions.
Clicker 1-Basic Obedience
This 5-week course is designed for dogs 5 months of age and older.
Beginners as well as dogs with previous obedience training are welcome.
In Clicker 1-Basic Obedience we will teach you the techniques of
luring, modeling, shaping, and capturing to successfully train your dog.
We will then teach your dog basic skills such as sit, down, stay, come,
and loose leash walking. Some simple problem-solving exercises such as
how to wait nicely at the door without bolting, and how to greet people
without jumping on them will also be covered.
Agility/Confidence Course
This class is a combination of agility training, intermediate/advance
obedience, and trick training and is one of our most popular courses for
dogs and handlers alike. Not only is this class fun but it is a great
opportunity for you and your dog to get fit and connect with each other
on a whole new level.
Agility is a canine sport in which a handler directs his dog around a course of
jumps, ramps, tunnels, teeter todders and various other obstacles. Our equipment
is safe and sized to make your dog's introduction to agility less intimidating.
Working with agility equipment helps build a dog's confidence, promotes body
awareness, increases muscle tone and coordination, improves communication
skills and increases the bond between dog and handler.
